About mottajara
We’re a small US-based team that reads offer terms for a living so our readers don’t have to.
What we do
mottajara collects offers from advertising partners and affiliate networks, checks that each one is live and legitimate, and publishes a plain-English summary of who it suits and what the conditions are. We cover finance, software and AI tools, shopping and coupons, mobile apps, gaming, education, insurance, home services, travel, and health and wellness.
How we choose what to list
An offer gets published only if it clears four checks:
- The advertiser is identifiable and the offer is currently accepting sign-ups.
- The terms are published somewhere a normal person can read them.
- Eligibility requirements — country, age, credit, device — are stated up front.
- Any compensation we receive is disclosed on the page itself, not buried in a policy.
Offers that fail a check don’t get listed. Offers that are a poor deal for most people are listed only with an explicit warning about who should skip them.
How we make money
Advertisers pay us when a reader signs up through one of our links. That’s the entire business model. What it does not do is buy placement: payout is not a ranking factor in our editor’s picks, and we don’t remove a criticism because a partner asked. Our full affiliate disclosure spells this out.
How we handle email
We email only people who explicitly asked us to, and we confirm every address before the first message goes out. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, a link to your preference centre, and our postal address. Unsubscribes are honoured immediately — not “within ten days”.
You can change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time, and you never need an account or a password to do either.
What we’re not
We’re not a lender, an insurer, a bank or a broker, and nothing on this site is financial, legal or medical advice. We don’t run giveaways, we don’t award prizes, and we will never tell you that you’ve won something. If you see a message claiming otherwise in our name, it didn’t come from us — please report it.
